Wonderful Product & Website
I attended one of your demonstrations in Richmond when I was 8 months pregnant, was totally hooked and bought a can of cappuccino everything glaze as well as an oil brush to apply that day. I have been planning to glaze over the flat white lower half of my dining room and upper half of my living room for quite some time. My son is now 14 months old and I finally pulled out that can over Memorial Day weekend and went to your website to refresh my memory (the 10 sec video was the perfect refresher course). I taped off my dining room (12' x 12') below the chair rail, then between practicing my technique on my laundry room walls and applying it in the dining room it took only one hour! I was so excited that I taped off my living room that night and glazed it the next morning. Just one quart covered both rooms (with not a drop to spare!). What a great use of a rainy Richmond weekend! Now I am trying to figure out how I want to redo my kitchen...I am sure I will be purchasing more paint soon. WOW, What a Difference!
I am a first time fauxer with an oil painting back ground. I used Take Me to Tuscany Aging Patina on my peach recessed archways in my entry hall. Wow what a difference. It was easy to use and fun. Hey, I just finished glazing our bathroom with the Pumpkin Glaze. I applied it over a color from Home Depot called Swiss Coffee which is an off white. I used interior Semi-Gloss for the base because it would help the glaze spread better. Also, the glaze dulls the heavy shine found in Semi-Gloss. At first, when we did a small sample on one spot of the wall, it looked too orange. But, if you spread it around a lot right as you apply it, it lightens the color up a lot. We also did the veins going vertically in a random like way. It looks less orange and even took on some of a yellow shade. We then applied in some spots (very lightly) the Take Me To Tuscany. All I can say is it looks AWESOME!!! Needless to say, we are doing our whole house in the Original Patina...we got our Sunny's Paints from Sara Benjamin's store in Pompano...great store and the owner was very helpful. Absolutely LOVE Your Products!
Hi! First of all, let me tell you that I absolutely LOVE your products. I glazed/washed our master bedroom this weekend, in french blue/gray, and it turned out great! I've glazed before, but with "regular" paint and glaze, and it took forever - my prior experience consisted of: first painting two coats of a base coat, and then mixing glaze and a shade darker of paint, and glazing over the top of my two coats of paint. Living in a 130 year old house with big rooms and 10 and a half foot ceilings, it was really a job! But, when I contrast to my experience this weekend, I literally glazed the entire bedroom (tall walls and all) in about 4-5 hours and I like the finish wayyyy better! The products are wonderful to work with (the only mixing was due to my preference of color, I mixed Marine with Ocean Age patina) and the room looks AWESOME! What a great product/experience - I am a working mother of 3 children (10, 8 and 3 yrs), and my husband and I are fixing up our old house. Our time is precious, and your company/products are good guardians of it! Your deck-o-rator cards give accurate colors/finishes, your video shows enough to give confidence, ordering the product was easy on the web (I have time to shop at about 11pm, so even if stores in our area carried your products (they don't), I don't have a lot of time to go shop for them), delivery was quick, and the glazing/washing was fun and very rewarding! So, thank you, I will NEVER use any other products but yours. We are getting ready to build a new house, and I've been picking out my colors already!-Lori

Hi I absolutely love the effect of your colour washes on painted furniture. I have a new piece that I painted with Ben Moore decorator white eggshell and finished with ashy moss brushed technique. I love it, but would like the color a little darker green...can you suggest how to accomplish that with any of your other products? By the way, I'm delighted that I don't have to drive 45 minutes to Monroe, CT to buy your products now that the Paint Center in Fairfield carries them. I just wish that they'd carry all of your products, not just a selected few.-

Good Morning! Two years ago I used your glazes and/or washes in my bedroom with a tray ceiling. It came out beautiful. We used your suggestion in the video with the old t-shirt. Now, I want to do it in my dining room. I will do one section above or below the chair rail and leave one with the solid color (at least that is the plan now).-Dianne

Hi all- A year ago, you sent me ideas for making a oak-y color wall. I have done a denim blue (AWESOME) with using the "sideways" strokes you recommended. I swear, it looks like blue suede! Beautiful! PS- I recommend your paints to everyone!! I talked recently to someone who used a three step process to get the same effect. Next time, I know they will use you!. Hello Sunny, It's been a while since my first project - last Feb. Thanks so much for the recommendation. It turned out great. I have a NEW project in mind and needs some pointers. This project is a dining room. I want the final outcome to look like a dark orange/red leather. I've looked at base coats in the rust to rusty red families. Which of your products/colors would give me this look? My level of expertise is "good with a cheesecloth". Thanks and I'll look forward to hearing from you.-Anne

WOW!!! I cannot believe how wonderful the tuscany glaze made my wall look!! I did the bay area of the kitchen last night and this leads into the great room wall - I will do that next. I just cannot get over how fantastic your product is. It is so easy to work with - I did exactly as you said - I cut it with water and added just a touch of the ruby red. I was really nervous since I was going over flat paint and this is a 1 yr old home. I applied the first coat and it really did soak right in - upon completion - I went over some areas again and I cannot get over how wonderful it came out - it is exactly (even better) than I anticipated - I achieved that old world look that I wanted. Fantastic Results!
I went onto your website after reading an article about ya'll in the Houston Chronicle. My 9-year-old daughter was moving into a larger room and I told here to pick the colors. The green is your Gator Green. The walls have texture on them, which made the modeling fantastic. The blue border is some paint that I had and the molding is a ruddy red. All her friends LOVE the color of her walls and have brought their mothers over to see. It seems that I have started something here in the neighborhood. Your Products Are So Amazing!
Your products are so amazing .. and your assistance has been on target. Last year, my daughter and I painted her room in Apricot .. it looks terrific! Her bedding is "stars and moon .. so the color is perfect! I also asked for info on painting a "denim -ish" color. You sent me the combination for this color almost a year ago. Well, I finally painted my walls a flat blue and didn't like the results. They were TOO FLAT! With much trepidation ... (how could ocean aging and Marine blue give me the right color) ... . I purchased these paints. All I can say is WOW !!! The color couldn't be more perfect. I describe it as "suede-ish blue" . Thank YOU!! Feel free to use me as a spokesperson, I'll send pix .. . Whatever! Your products are just amazing and your insight for color combinations is incredible. As a single parent, cost and ease of results are important to me. My daughter and I finished three walls in less than 2 hours ... She then had a friend over and did the basement rooms in Marine. They did circles and it looks like clouds .. I walk by these rooms and LOVE them!!!

I ordered the aging patina last summer to glaze my living room, entryway, stairwell and upstairs hall. Two friends of mine who are faux painters told me I couldn't glaze over my flat paint. But on your website flat paint is listed as a source to be glazed over. I have never used glaze before, but I really wanted that old world Tuscan look so I gave it a shot. Even over my flat paint, I had a lot of work time and this was the most fun I've had with paint since I taught myself to stencil! After I completed the first wall, I wanted to grab people off the street to show them. If someone like me, with no prior experience can do this, anyone can! I have had so many compliments on my walls and I only used a quart and a half! I plan to re-do two bathrooms this summer and I can't wait! I highly recommend this product. It is easy to use and so much fun. I'm going to try the stone blocks in the master bath. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes! One Happy Customer!-Judith

just wanted to let you know that I received my glaze can and colour wash can yesterday via UPS. Last night I applied the glaze to the half-wall that I had planned. I am SO impressed with your product (and myself, of course!!), I just can't get over it. The glaze did exactly as I had hoped, just added some depth and made my bright coral paint (which was still boring, somehow) FAR more interesting. I made my sister leave her husband and two children at home at 8:30 p.m. to drive to my house and see it. I may have created a monster: She now wants me to do her entire house! I just wanted to send you an email to let you know how fantastic your product is!!!! I emailed you for the advice on how to get a gold color on my walls, and you have made my dream come true!!!! Wonderful and Easy to Use!
Hi ! Just writing because I've used the Apricot Wash and really did have a great time painting our family/sun room! It gorgeous! It's a wonderful product and was easy to use. Thanks for the comments to relax and have fun - I'd tried color washing with paint I mixed with glaze - I painted six times (yes, the same room) and ended up painting one solid color (regular old stuff) because my 'color wash' looked horrible! Not fun. With your Apricot Wash I painted the room myself in less than 4 hours! You've helped me achieve something artistic (besides having fun and restoring some self-confidence!)!-Colleen Roa
